Empowering guide to owning your career path
“Your Career Has a Life of Its Own is a thoughtful, empowering guide for anyone looking to take ownership of their career path. It encourages readers to see their career as a living, evolving journey—shaped by values, choices, and self-awareness.
One of the book’s greatest strengths is how it helps you pause and reflect on what really matters. Through practical tools and coaching-style questions, it builds self-awareness around your strengths, values, and the stories you tell yourself about success. Whether you’re just starting out, pivoting mid-career, or planning what’s next, this book offers clarity and direction.
The voice is refreshingly honest, grounded, and encouraging. A great read for anyone ready to stop drifting and start leading their career with intention.”

Well written and easy to follow
I read the first section, and already I can see this is a powerful book! I especially love the common-sense examples. I look forward to reading more and applying some of the principles.

Practical & Vital Information I've Been Searching For - Easy & Enjoyable Read!
“Finally! Someone wrote the career book I have been searching for all these years! Oh how I wish I had this book several years ago when I was going through a bad time in my career. This is such a perfectly practical, vital and useful "field guide".
First Thing I Love About This Book: Anyone in pretty much any field can pick this up and find immediate answers or concrete ideas for next steps. For those of us who work a day job and are trying to plan next steps or apply for new roles as night, time is always tight. You can open this book to any chapter or section and go right to what you need.
Second Thing I Love About This Book: This is not the usual overstuffed, preachy self-help drivel. This is entirely practical throughout and contains so much useful information that can be directly applied to so many challenging situations. The book has information to provide immediate relief when you are "going through it" and can also help you plan longer term. There are helpful questions to guide and refine your thinking, but it isn't full of over-the-top exercises, writing prompts or other homework assignments that end up being a full time job of their own.
Third Thing I Love About This Book: The author's stated goal is to make the book “a conversation with someone who really understands you”. I truly felt that way. Reading this book was equivalent in quality and value to having a real-life mentor who actually cares about your career growth and development. The author tells it to you straight--but in a way that is actually useful and always encouraging.
I strongly recommend! Thanks for reading and good luck to everyone out there with their career next steps! This book will help get you there!”
